As of 13 May 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 675 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore, the vast majority of whom are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. Two cases are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents.

This is a ridiculous situation because although the number of cases is high the number in ICU has remained at around 20 and the number dead is 21 based on current data.

This means that for the vast majority Covid-19 is nothing more than a stuffy nose, a sore throat and some loss of taste.

To shut down a whole economy for an infection that is milder than the flu in Singapore is madness.

We know that in Singapore flu kills more than 500 annually. If we don't lockdown because of the hundreds of deaths from flu why are we locking down because of 21 deaths from Covid-19?
