12-year-old boy arrested in connection with break-ins

SINGAPORE : Police have arrested a 12-year-old boy who is believed to be involved in a series of break-ins in the Yishun housing estate.
The police said the suspect is believed to have gained access to the units by simply walking through the front doors which were left unsecured.
In total, the suspect made away with about S$250 cash and a laptop worth about S$2,500.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division had conducted extensive enquiries and investigations and managed to establish the identity of the suspect.
The suspect was arrested at his residence in Yishun on Monday.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to be involved in at least four cases of break-ins in the Yishun estate.
