12,000 tested at Istana

Visitors to the Istana have their temperatures taken by St John Ambulance Brigade volunteers.
All 12,000 visitors to the Istana, which was open for Labour Day yesterday, had to have their temperature tested before being allowed into the grounds, as a precaution against the H1N1 virus.


Their identity card numbers were also recorded for contact-tracing purposes.

One visitor was turned away as his temperature was too high.
