In my era my pocket money was 10 cents per day , with that not only we managed the tuck shop but also the transport , bus fare for students was only 5 cents from one point to another ...air con was a luxury , and I don’t think we even had a fan in our class room , again we did go to schools which many of our parents never did

If you're ever in the Toa Payoh East (Lorong 7) area, walk a little further east past the polyclinic and the industrial estate, cross the overhead bridge over the expressway and you'll end up in Potong Pasir. It's a depressing little town... only one feeder bus serves it, and its main purpose is to transport SAJC students from Toa Payoh central.

I rmb got one bus no.42 plying west coast road, (near the old Yusof Ishak sec. school) has aircon.

Tats right. I will post the name of a nasi padang shop when Masjid admit full capacity of worshippers. Presently masjid opens partially only. This stall will serve food (nasi n lauk) with no price tag. Up to u to pay the price. But tis kind gesture does not include side drinks n kueh kueh n only for jumaat (lunch) aka Friday prayers. All races welcome.
