Current j pop is it those music where we get to hear in pc and arcade games ? I find they all sounds alike and does not have a catchy tune .or maybe old liao ear bud got problem :p
Generally speaking, J-pop/rock music from the past ten years is inferior to J-pop/rock music from the 1980s, 1990s, and even the first five years of the 21st century.
However, there are some J-pop songs from the past ten years that are catchy enough for me to like; but I only come across them once in a long while....

Same time that period were another male band安全地帶 Anzen Chitai https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anzen_Chitai
Where i used to wrap their posters all over my files to school
I'm afraid Anzen Chitai is also not among my favourite J-pop groups. :o
But I also like at least one or two songs by them, so once again, I've just started a thread about them:
sammyboy.com/showthread.php?235790-安全地帯 (Anzen Chitai), 1980s J-pop boy band, dedicated to chootchiew again! haha

While u were still a baby in mid 80s, these were the most happening hair trend which look orbit now .
I believe Narong, as a high class beng, should be carrying them
Ironically, even though I prefer Anzen Chitai, the Checkers were much more popular and successful in Japan back in the 1980s:

ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/チェッカーズ
And its lead singer:
wikipedia.org/wiki/Fujii_Fumiya
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/藤井フミヤ
was also born in the same city as the birthplace of two of my favourite female J-pop singers, as I've mentioned earlier:
In my opinion, the "Golden Age" of J-pop started with the debut of 松田 聖子 (Matsuda Seiko) in 1980 and ended with the premature death of 坂井 泉水 (Sakai Izumi, the lead singer of ZARD) in 2007 at the age of only 40 years old.
Both of them were among Japan's best-selling female singers:
wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_music_artists_in_Japan
and were even born in the same city:
wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurume
in Fukuoka Prefecture, located on the island of Kyushu.
He even shares the same birth year, 1962, with Matsuda Seiko!
