A 17-year-old Hindu girl, identified as Sapna (name changed), is fighting for her life in Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital after jumping from the roof of her home in an attempt to escape relentless blackmail and torture by a Muslim boy, Anas, and his accomplices in Ghaziabad’s Laxmi Garden, Loni. The accused, who allegedly used AI-edited lewd photographs to coerce the minor into meeting at a hotel and engaging in physical relations, are now on the run, with police registering a case against Anas, his father, Kosam, his mother, Saruna, and another accomplice, Anas, son of Irshad.

The Incident

According to the First Information Report (FIR Number: 291/2025) filed on May 9, 2025, at Loni Border Police Station by the victim’s father, Rakesh Kumar, the harrowing ordeal began when Anas, a resident of Paramhans Vihar, Laxmi Garden, started stalking Sapna. The accused took photographs of the minor while she was commuting and used artificial intelligence to manipulate these images into explicit content. Anas then used the doctored photos and videos to blackmail Sapna, threatening to share them on social media and with her friends unless she complied with his demands to meet him and his friend, another Anas (son of Irshad), at a hotel for physical relations.

Sapna, visibly distressed for days, confided in her elder brother, Akash, on the night of May 7, 2025, at approximately 10:30 pm. She revealed that Anas had been harassing her for a prolonged period, making lewd comments and pressuring her with threats to make the manipulated images public. Overwhelmed by fear and unable to endure the torment, Sapna attempted to take her own life by jumping from the roof of her family’s home onto a neighbouring rooftop. She sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to GTB Hospital, where she remains in critical condition in the emergency ward.

Threats and Intimidation by the Accused

The ordeal did not end with Sapna’s desperate act. According to the FIR, Anas’s father, Kosam, and mother, Saruna, visited GTB Hospital shortly after Kavya’s admission and issued threats to the victim’s family. They warned that any complaint against Anas would have dire consequences, with Kosam explicitly stating, “We are Muslims. We will kill you and will not even reveal your address. Your family members cannot do anything to us.”

The following day, Kosam and Saruna allegedly visited the victim’s home at Paramhans Vihar, Laxmi Garden, and reiterated their threats to Akash, urging the family to settle the matter privately and warning of violence if they pursued legal action.

Despite the intimidation, Rakesh Kumar refused to back down and lodged a formal complaint with the police, accusing Anas, Kosam, Saruna, and Anas (son of Irshad) of blackmail, harassment, and abetment to suicide. The accused have been booked under Sections 352, 351(2), and 62 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertain to criminal intimidation, abetment of suicide, and related offences. The police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the absconding suspects….

Wonder if the area of Paramhans Vihar is Hindu majority or Muslim majority .... most likely its Muslim community bigger allowing these men to do such daring thing publicly and openly without fear .... the police probably go through the motion and this Hindu family will probably disappear from the Muslim community soon ...
