“Hi there, I am a Sembawang resident. I notice along my drive home that there are 5 or 6 gigantic congratulatory banners erected along a short 1km of the road which is Yishun Ave 2. In fact there are many more such banners with greetings from K Shan, Khaw Boon Wan and other MPs. I wonder how much these banners have cost the residents since they are paid for by the grassroots organizations.”

Should be paid for by the CC. Each banner should be about $50-$60. They have standard vendors to do all their banners.

Dun complain lah...i'm grateful for one in my area - overseeing the cross-junction...preventing accidents & wading off evil.

Hhm....er why your posted ones all SOLO whereas ours in group:confused:

Some banners are over-priced and awarded to cronies .

Others like publications are awarded to cronies and marked-up to help them tide out the downturn.

On publice funds of course !

banner in PVC is rated by per Feet run.

One feet run about $15 to 20 depending the color scheme (exclude installation fee).

banner in cloth is about $10 to 12 per feet run.

Above is standard height( 3feet or one metre in height)

If the height is more than 3 feet---per feet run can cost up to $30 dollars.
