SINGAPORE: The Reform Party said it is likely to contest Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's team at Ang Mo Kio GRC this General Election.

Party Secretary-General Kenneth Jeyaretnam said the Reform Party team for Ang Mo Kio could include - Mr Alex Tan and Mr Jay Ting - both of whom are on loan from the Singapore People's Party.

This was revealed during a visit to Telok Blangah by the Reform Party West Coast GRC team and supporters this evening.

Mr Jeyaretnam's 14-year-old son, Jared Jeyaretnam was also present.

Mr Jeyaretnam did not give further details but said he hopes to see every seat contested by the opposition.

"We'll also be holding a team in reserve in case any of the other GRCs plans should fall through," said Mr Jeyaretnam.

Meanwhile, Mr Kenneth Jeyaretnam added that Socialist Front Chairman Ng Teck Siong is planning to contest Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew's team at Tanjong Pagar GRC, together with members from the Singapore Democratic Alliance.

Opposition parties have said that they want to contest all 27 constituencies at the coming polls.

If that happens, it will be the first time all seats in a General Election are contested since Singapore's Independence.

AMK GRC is like a big tall prison wall harbouring the largest number of dissidents of the PAP.
Though seemingly impenetratable, it is a must fought battleground even if it is a kamikaze team,
for any opposition party who want to get a foothold for themselves in politics.
NSP has missed their chance by sending their kamikaze team to Marine Parade GRC instead.
Now Reform Party has made their right choice.

whichever opposition parties contesting AMK, MP and TP will poll a respectable percentage, 100% keep deposit, no worries.

many opposition strongest votes districts are moved into these 3 constituencies (increasing votes for eventual losers) thus it's not possible for PAP to poll very well there, high above their nationwide popular votes.

With due respect to KJ, he will not win this time. Unless the voters are very upset and disillusioned.

Dragon heart is in TP while the nerve centre is in AMK. Both are equally important pillars to the ruling party. One falls and the other falters.

Shouldn't it be the dragon fart is in AMK while the old bag of nerves is in TP?

Do not conclude before the battle begins. Its not good psychology. Remember last election the unknown young team from WP
got a respectable 30 % against new PM

Not only to pin them down, but it will be great to see them sweat a little.

Better to make them all sweat bullets and shit bricks. Such complacency, greed and arrogance need to be checked. There is a limit to tolerance, and they have crossed it.

I sincerely hope that Tanjong Pagar will be under the opposition's flag... Very Simple reasons..

1) LKY is olredi too old to do the people-session (By the way, I dun think hw have done it since quite a long time.
2) FORMER army chief Chan Chun Sing, 42, is a very arrogant person. I personally dun think that he can even listern to the people with this lousy attitude which many of Singaporeans have seem either online or on TV.

Singaporean, Pls vote for opposition..... It's NOW or NEVER!
