Just heard that they are unable to isolate the issue with regard to the loss wireless transmission after the 4 days. French experts flying in. The possibility that someone is operating a new or a faulty equipment that has nothing do with SMRT in the vicinity has not been ruled out. They even went back to the previous software but still issue persist.

You mean...it is running round non-stop 24 hrs in circles?...like " round, like a circus in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel"? I have a tale of a minicomputer by NCR that process info & generates random numbers & when it reaches a certain combination in a day...whatever number that is allocated to that data...it disappear into a 'digital black hole'..." all the kings horses, & all the kings men' could not solve that programming mystery....they brought in software engineers from different continents & debug, still no dice..
So, the circle line is still running in circles with that bug?...well, it was not solved, the problem I mentioned....the machine was scrapped & a new kind of servers came into being...killed the problem. It was a programming bug...most likely written in damn good code...
The Circle MRT was only fully operational and opened on 8 October 2011, yet less than 5 years later there are already serious problems.
Hard questions need to be ask, did PAP cockup in construction and maintenance of this new MRT line?? Billions of Sinkie taxpayer money have been spent building this line, there should be accountability from PAP to the citizens.

Apparently the trains the moment they lose the signal are programmed to stop immediately. They are now manning all the Circle Line trains with drivers which is actually a driverless train until now. The rides are now jerky because of the stop / manual start ever time signal is lost. It does not look like maintenance issue. Could be something external as all the trains on this line are impacted.

Why did they spend money on a driverless train system in the first place? Given the unlimited supply of cheap foreign labor, that seems like a foolish decision.

The crux of the problem facing this place is- having the same group of people in power for too long such that they will do anything to prolong their tenure instead of caring for the welfare of the people.
Millions are spent on opulence and ceremony eg gatherings/parades/festivals/celebrations/funerals to showcase their "success/contributions " even when things are decaying around them ((more and more trains breaking downs , lifts do not work, TB, dengue, zika increasing, overcrowding in hospitals ect2).
More and more oppressive laws are passed and critics sued/sent to jail.
We are paying a hefty price for a 3rd world country.

MRT has lost many engineers and mrt expertise because of poor management by Saw. That's the reason we are in such a bad state. Expertise and corporate memory must be retained for such a system and organisation
