In the first place the NCMP scheme is created to placate voters and discourage people from voting in an oppo MP, so one could actually make the case that she has made a principled stand against PAP's underhand authoritarianism.

Yeah really hypocrites, why people must expect opposition to hang around for five years for free or little money to serve residents? No need to earn a living? Those PAP candidates waiting in PA with high paying jobs then can afford to do that.
