About 15 police-officers, including several in plainclothes, were at a block of flats in Strathmore Avenue investigating the death of a man, believed to have fallen from height on Thursday morning.
A cleaner told The Straits Times that he saw the body from afar at about 11.20am while sweeping the area.
A Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman said they were alerted to the incident at 11.26am and paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene shortly after.
Some police officers were observed rummaging through trash in the rubbish chute. Later, they extended the police cordon to cover the entire lift lobby of the block, allowing only residents to enter and leave. Investigations are going.
