Young Sporns Hate FAPee TRAITORS to Core. Revolution in the Air!

Pleaaasee. PAP does not own Singapore. When the powerful one is gone (HE whom you must not speak his name), it will be like the huge tree which overshadowed the entire forest fallen... all the plants beneath will have fresh air, sunlight and an orderly, mature democracy will blossom. Be patient.

At last Nokia is coming to its senses!!

I can never forgive Nokia for their disgracefully useless Navigation maps. They better come up with something that can rival I-phone fast. Otherwise they might as well close down.

    VICTORY TO EGYPT! Mutabak TOASTED!

It is a tough choice. Philippine had Marcos, Indonesia had Suharto, Egypt had Mubarak, Iraq had Saddam - the result of their decades of rule ==> impoverished population but politically stable. Is it worthwhile to remain poor in exchange for stability? In that sense LKY had really succeeded...

SIA pilots urged by union to boycott dinner

The only reason SIA should not apply the rules to the existing pilots is, these guys joined the industry with the expectation of good pay good retirement benefits etc. Now they are in the industry you cut the benefits that's not right. But it is perfectly alright to stipulate to new aspiring...

You get to remit at money changer's rate, for Sino (at Parkway) they might even offer you better rate than changing cash, or same rate. The S$10 is waived for larger amount, i think more than 10k thereabout. There are no other costs involved ==> same as changing cash except you don't have to...

Any of those at Parkway. I usually use Sino (next to Citibank) or Yakadir (beside HSBC). Sino tends to have better rates than Yakadir for larger amount, but this fluctuates daily so just check. Sino waives the S$10 charge for larger amount.

Never safe to deal with too much cash. If you have an address in MY, why not open a bank account in MY? Then you can just remit money via a moneychanger in SG (good rate) over directly into your account.

MM Lee say Mahathir built port to 'undercut & 'sabotage' Singapore

There is no end to this. It should not come as any surprise conglomerates in any country are linked to highly connected people, or window dress their books. We have seen enough of Enrons, Lehman Brothers', AIG, Citicorp and the likes. It would be fair to say, whatever misgivings you have...
