Redditer: Why is "Cai Fan" in the CBD area becoming a luxury item now?

You go early, the food is virgin fresh mah. You go at 7 pm you eat leftovers. Siao boh.
Aiyoh. If its a popular stall, they will refill with fresh ingredients lah.

Like this kopitiam stall in Bukit Merah...you go at 9pm the ingredients still fresh because they keep cooking all night long...

Don't be shy,the food were from donations by devotees.
I have never been shy whenever it helps me save money.

I am just nowhere near the location. Otherwise, 一天三餐 我吃定它。I will bring my own cutlery and Maggie sauce.

And to make sure it's worthwhile I will not contribute a single cent to the food. 我是来取的。

In San Fran Chinatown it is usd12.00 and up for any Asian food and that is considered cheep. Happy?

People working in CBD area high salary lah ... what is $5 cai fan to them? peanuts only .... willing to pay $$$ buy Starbuck coffee eat cheesecakes, no willing to pay $$$ eat cai fan then go eat restaurant and cafe lor :whistling:

"Cai fan" means vegetable rice.Prices are usually more expensive in CBD area because of higher rental.
That's common sense. TS wants to buy a Bukit Timah 4-bedroom condo, but is only willing to pay the price of a 3-room HDB flat in Yishun.
