Even in healthcare, our public hospitals love to use taxpayers' money to buy the latest CT and MRI machines to be the market leader in SG. The private hospitals adopt a wait and see attitude to ascertain the take-up rate by patients and its benefits, before committing to such a major purchase. Businesses do not have the the safety net of public funds to cover up for any wasted purchase.

Also, I believe you need an app to recharge your electric cars? You can't just 'plug and play'. And you need to do cashless payments.

The final goal is self-driving cars. You won't be allowed to own or drive cars, EV or non-EV.

Also, I highly doubt the private hospitals embark on such a grandiose makeover.

Last I checked, Mount E only renovated its toilets, corridors and driveway/lobby areas back in 2025. :biggrin:

If its sodium batteries, it may last a lot longer. So maybe should wait for new gen batteries to be introduced in EV's.

Nio cars in china uses battery swapping technology. Only 3 minutes to complete.

I think i jiu hu, perodua cars will do same thing. Swap batteries. Batteries on subscription. Waiting for final details.
Advantage on this is new battery tech csm be introduced on existing cars.

Parkway doesn't have access to taxpayers' money to spend lavishly on a makeover. Businesses also can't afford to close for too long to do upgrades because it will cost them in terms of lost business.

If you are coolie class and have to use outside chargers, they can charge you any amount like what the oil cartels are doing on petrol. SP rate high, they charge high. SP rate low, they also charge high.

In short, rich get richer, poor pay more.

Rich condo residents along Bukit Timah also have to use shared chargers.
