Well I think the future of Sinkieland dream will look something like the below ..

A young blue collar man marry a young gal working in a fast food restaurant & apply bto 2-rooms on a 99 lease :smile:

This couple received workfare supplements & other like GST vouchers :thumbsup:

They have a kid .. a cute baby boy born :D

Their young son completed his N Level, finished his NS & join the workforce ..
This is option 4. But family of 3 in a 2 room flat is squeeze. Many options to choose from. Go go go.

  • Another friend's daughter in HP had been "forced" to train her Malaysian PRC potential foreign replacements in Singapore.
  • In some 3M departments and distributors in Singapore, they probably have more malaysians than Singaporeans.
  • You go to OCBC's IT department, it's like little india.
  • Any company that stops hiring Singaporeans will make more money.
It is not simply about joblessness among the locals; it is under-employment for more and more Singaporeans who are displaced in their career.

It is more like a systematic white-collar genocide.

This economic genocide is supported by the PAP. That is plain treason by my reckoning.
 
S'pore currently ranks 2nd in the world based on GDP per capita, which is the GDP of a country divided by its total population; the problem is that it does not tell us how this wealth is distributed. In S'pore, the privileged few are enjoying a luxurious lifestyle while the majority struggle on low wages as well as modest domestic purchasing power, which is aggravated by the extremely high cost of living.

My ex-colleagues who were laid off at management level in their late 40s and early 50s were unable to find jobs that matched their aptitude and experience. They were often told that they were "over-qualified" which translates to being too old for the vacancy.

Very true. In many companies including Banks, it’s full of Malaysians and CECAs taking all the jobs including many accounting jobs in the Big 4 accounting companies, it’s full of Malaysians.

The ones in the management are SgPRs and EP holders. Why would they want Sinkies other than the mandatory MOM headcount

The senior management positions were never meant for the locals in the first place … at the age of 40s to 50s we have to be more matured, always think of ourselves first & not the interests of these MNCs :thumbsdown:

Sian. Most MNCs will never put Sinkies as senior management but many will put MP and ministers as Executive directors for the MNCs and SMEs. Where else normal Sinkies needs to go to public sector. Only there will find Sinkies amongst some foreigners promoted as Senior management.

Maybank is a Malaysian bank. They will protect their kind first and 3M also the same goes with HP and 3M. As long as got foreigners, they only keep Sinkies for headcount
