The prosecution's case relies almost entirely on the witnesses' account of what transpired, including the testimony of Dr Jipson who would later claim that he was coerced into implicating Iris. If the witnesses turn hostile, the prosecution's case against Iris will collapse like a flan in a cupboard. It's not "win some".

At some point, you have to be able to distinguish "I want to see her in jail" from "she is guilty". An expression of wish is not a jurisprudential opinion.​
