To put that amount in context, it's not a magic figure that applies in every situation. It's spoken in the context of oppie candidates vying for a $190K MP allowance per annum, and if they are not already earning this much they should not turn the entire GE into a job interview by suggesting that they would become full-time MPs if elected.
