Ho Ching defends Singapore’s election system amid gerrymandering criticisms

First past the post system prevents fringe party from coming up and ends up like US, UK and Japan where two parties are dominant and policies becomes stale and stagnant and eventual capitulation due to corruption.

Proportional representation allows small fringe parties to have a voice in parliament and provide a say in national policies and a more robust debate.

Lose more GRCs then pap will put in place bigger GRCs. Soon we get only 4-5 GRCs for whole of Singapore. North South East West Central. Each GRCs 20 pax
