Bad Bad Monkey...Tsk....Tsk

around botanic gardens perhaps bro .... but some of the males and females with young can get aggressive ....so do be careful.

I thought they killed off the ones at Botanic Gardens back in the 70's or 80's because of concerns of monkey biting people

With the opening of the Botanic Station on the Circle line, I'll probably visit the Botanic Gardens maybe I'll bump into some monkeys including the ex-CEO of SMRT;)

I new someone who lived in the Cluny Road area & despite some encounters with those monkeys they accepted it as part of living near the monkey's home & wouldn't have supported culling.

However I'm not surprised by the heavy handed way the authorities handled the issue. Look at what happened when LKY implemented his stop at two policy

Gahmen then always find the fastest, most economical way to solve problems.

When Hawaii 5-O ran an episode that had motorcyclists donning full-faced helmets in a robbery and couldn't be identified, Sg fucking banned full-face helmets!!!! Years later when I was in the US and told this to a biker friend, that dude just won't believe me! Christ! And today, the youth look at the "Old Guard" of Sg as wise leaders! Damn!

Cheers!

hmm... me don't know how much it costs... me only thinking how does it tastes like :D:D:D

That gives us a new challenge - what does monkey taste like? How do we trap one? Entice it with fruit and grab it while within reach and quickly sneak it away? What's the best way to cook it? Macaques aren't endangered species; the only thing is to get away with it without the authorities finding out.

Cheers!

heheh...
only hear of stories in the past, where one of the dishes in 满汉全席 is this monkey brain...:eek::eek:

Bro, I believe that monkey meat was probably quite common for our ancestors as it was a common animal, but eating monkey brain, the way it was described to us (while the primate was alive) was probably a myth. I do not know anyone personally who would say that they ate monkey brain scooped from it's head while it was screaming and kicking. Most of our ancestors believed in souls and to be so cruel and not feel squeamish would be against their conscience. Don't believe it bud.

Cheers!

it seems that even in the 70s you could still eat live monkeys in Chinatown if you had the correct contacts.
