If there are reason(s) that someone knows off, he or she is responsible for bringing it up before the wedding vows are made. One of them that comes to mind is that one of the to-be wed partners is already married, unknown to the other, or has a background/habits that is not going to favour a workable marriage.

Relatives may object based on differences in culture, race, religion which may cause future conflicts that will affect the marriage, etc. They have a right to bring these up. However, once the marriage is consumated, let no one raise a voice that will cause distress to the couple. To me, the instituition of marriage serves only one objectivce - the legal protection and status of children. Now couples may have different views, I am old fashioned when it comes to this. The children are vulnerable and deserve the legal rights and recognition that marriage provides.

yesterday night, a male passenger seek my opinion on him going together with his PRC fiancé. his problem is a tricky one, his family look down on the prc gf and especially, his mum is dead set against them to be together. and the mom will do extreme and crazy things just to achieve her aim. his family has brought her to see psychiatrists but all deem her well. after thinking for a while what he told me about his mum, i think her mum is a psychopath.

anyway, i told him that 百行孝为先，万恶淫为首。 but he insist that he want to be with his prc gf and will not hesitate from fucking pple up if they stop them, even his mum.

i feel sorry for him. why must pple break up or prevent them from being together?
