I am watching this one now,,seems the bus driver has a better quality of living than the bin man. However the problems these people face and ah sam leong will agree is that these people keep breeding.

They cant afford it and have kids..and their kids no work and their kids have kids...cant even support themselves and still breed...sometimes maybe a good dose of stop at 2 policy or for them stop at none like wat LKY did is needed,,,but too bad,,,it wont work for them,..

Interesting but too long to watch the entire episode. The gap between the rich and the poor is so vast and this is happening in all the 3rd world countries, not only in Indonesia. Currently Indonesia is experiencing economic growth and hope it will continue to prosper.

The rich poor divide is increasing and the middle class is shrinking in the developed world. this is due to the taxation policies in the west and for singapore's case the rich are favoured and they are given labour control so the poor becoming poorer and the middle class shrinks even more.

Also the PAPs rent seeking behaviour makes thing worse, increasing the cost of living for a majority of the people, high rents, high property prices, high utility bills etc. This will continue on that is why the 'occupy' movement is trying to bring out. But with the 1% controlling the 99%, things can only get worse.

Here in Indonesia, life goes on as normal without much change despite the upheavals happening all over the world. They are hardly affected as they have a huge population, thousands of islands, large territories, enormous amounts of resources, many areas still unspoilt and undiscovered. This will be one of the places left on earth should the rest of the world sink under the huge amounts of debt and the insurmountable problems that beset them.

Ron Ron is a self confessed pappy, but at least he is a forummer who happens to be a pappy, i.e. he does contribute.
