The wretched joke on Chen Show Mao for spending to many years overseas and now trying to represent Singaporeans as a MP and the low-down of "But we are not as smart as him" is quite unbecoming of a parliamentarian. WP should be proud that their MPs have not fallen onto the same slippery slope. Imagine a joke on Janil Puthucheary's 3-year-old citizenship and absence from serving NS and reservist duty before being parachuted as a MP in Punggol GRC? Leadership is about learning to take responsibility for one’s own life irrespective of one’s abilities or station in life. It is seeking to be part of the solution to improve one’s society rather than being part of the problems compounding society’s ills.

Unless we see and respect one another as “leaders without titles”, we will not be able to become a compassionate, caring, co-operative and united society. We will become a divided nation comprising of citizens who are ungrateful victims, resigned and complacent bystanders, and frustrated saviours.

Our leaders will need to set the example by changing Parliament from a place to score political points to a space for dialogue and brainstorming creative solutions to the complex and complicated socioeconomic and moral issues of our multiracial, multireligious and multicultural society.

We need to develop a culture of leadership rather than a culture of blame. Only then can we see our social problems as challenges to grow in compassion instead of seeking scapegoats to blame. It has been said that it will take a miracle to change the mindsets of our people who have been brainwashed for so many years.

Sometime I wonder why WP want a 1st world parliament, I think he must have seen a lot of 3rd world MP and ministers in there, I don't follow those minions speech but from this recent PAP MP attacking Chen when the subject is on allocating resources to help the lower income group, I understand the need to have high caliber people in parliament and not just PAP appointed minions who enter parliament via back door.

May I remind the majority PAP MP that 40% of the voters want you out, so don't be too corky as we will hold you all accountable for the damage you did to this country.

a good piece of blog... i fully agree...

Never fail to follow. Once he was ill (he said) and did not post for a few months, many missed him. Now he's back with a vengence. Love his posts because its so down to earth and sometimes can hear his "loud cry" of frustrations living in this place we called our home and country but ruled but the cruel and disconnected Lee family and their cronies. Its so sad.

Nothing to said. Many policy really waste of tax payer money especially defend budget more than $10b. Need to cut by half not more than $5b/year.
The money can use for education, healthcare and transport.

Actually its with this Janil chap that PAP cant bring out its big guns against CSM. Whatever they throw at CSM, just have to use Janil as a defense and PAP gets whack by friendly fire. Also do not forget hor...CSM serve NS..that too many Spore is good enough that he represents Singapore..

Also many PAP Ministars and MPs have children overseas,,are they coming back to spore?
