A concerned parent is complaining about "inappropriate" books at a well known local bookstore.

Ms Wu Li Ting (43, housewife) had called the Shin Min Daily News to express her concerns after she saw what she felt were inappropriate books being openly displayed at the Kinokuniya bookstore in Orchard Road.

The books, found at the Chinese books section, were homosexual-oriented publications, as well as photobooks featuring scantily clad female celebrities.

According to Singapore laws, publications that contain sex, nudity, or violence, or encourage drug abuse, or content that threaten racial or religious harmony, are not allowed.

Housewife? What the fuck were you doing outside the house, outside the kitchen, and at Ngee Ann City?

Must be one of those modern day leeches called tai tais whom you can easily spot lazing away and indulging themselves at high-class buffet joints on weekday afternoons. You can find plenty of them in Orchard Road.

please lah, i believed Kino has adhered to MDA guidelines i.e. wrapping the books up with warning labels.

this housewife mst be from No Porn Lui fan club, never see flesh. From the name sounds PRC. LOL

Taschen has so many nude photography books and they are well sought after. Even in BKK, they are sold openly. WTF, can surf porn but cannot sell nude photography books? LOL
