can't help it but notice that we've been too caught up with the need to quantify, keeping to deadlines, meeting KPIs, etc etc...

haven't we had the time, sat down then take some breather, and realise that some times what counts can't be counted & what's counted doesn't count.

If you don't quantify goals, how do you justify quantitative parameters when it comes to rewarding those who do the job.

i think zhihau is just trying to say that becoming too goal oriented is not a good thing. Too many important things are sacrificed to the god of economics.
