Time needed to train bus drivers for more routes

SINGAPORE - Bus captains may take wrong turns because they were deployed on routes they are not familiar with, said Minister of State for Finance and Transport Josephine Teo.

But it takes time to implement training for different routes. "We want to have more flexibility to... cross-deploy the bus captains when it is necessary, so that we can be more responsive to emerging needs in bus services," she said.

What does he mean by "cross-deploy"? Getting a bus 64 driver to drive bus 105 for cost-saving purposes? After all, in this stupid cuntry, nearly every fucking job is cum this cum that, ad hoc duties and that kind of shit.

And what "emerging needs" is he going on about? It looks like some phrase plagiarized from a business school assignment.

No matter how much you train the drivers (which you probably won't, to save money), hiring Ah Tiongs will only exacerbate the problem.

Training? Oh sure, they will conduct training. Just go through the motions. At the end of the day, all you need is to get the trainee to sign on the document and - presto! - he is now qualified for the task! He can be lost or a blithering idiot, but once he signs on the dotted line, he is an expert. Plenty of such nonsense in this stinking cuntry.

hi there

1. aiyoh!
2. yet commuters are still paying for such standard.
3. drivers on the roads are suppose to be trained before driving off is the first commandment!
4. it is farting wrong again!

In Spore experience is not valued. Age is seen as a liability unless you belong to the elite class.

These problems highlight the lack of experience that exists. It's more about appearances & pay and less about services:( The old timers who knew their jobs were probably laid off & replaced with a newer generation of wannabe managers. However It's going to take some time to re-learn what the old uncles & aunties already knew.

It's like re-inventing the wheel :)

I already whacked out that their all GPS equipped bus fleet are managed by bunch of useless brainless joker elite scholars!

Pse read and discuss at above thread.

SBS iris-NextBus

http://www.sbstransit.com.sg/iris3/nextbus.aspx

SBS's hightech Iris URL is @ above.

They had it for years to use GPS and advanced computerised systems to track locations of all their buses, and not only their management should know where is each (lost) bus, but can accurately inform waiting passengers of their estimated bus arrival time.

SBS also installed GPS in their taxis to navigate for their taxi drivers.

However they are NOT using GPS to navigate bus routes for their lost drivers at all! Even when the expensive GPS and computerised communication systems are already installed in place in most if not all of their buses.:eek::*:

WAF is the elite scholar management doing? They are surely more lost then their bus drivers?

Today's GPS can preset routes within their memories, and even use voice to instruct drivers to "turn left at junction 30M ahead, keep left" etc.

SBS spent huge sum to install their systems but are obviously not put to correct use. Not addressing their own pressing needs. They can tell the public now that they STILL NEED MORE TIME TO TRAIN DRIVERS FOR ROUTES!

:eek::*:

WAF?!

how come as a MOS this jos teo is answering on behalf of sbs transit instead of questioning them? she work for who?

Finally I am convinced by the idea that some brains can actually grow in the anal. I used to think that was impossible.:(
