I am curious. I saw a few critic threads on singapore education system, maybe those thread starters can help comment.:o

1. When we say education system in Singapore, what comes to mind?
2. What is an education system?
3. Why should there be an education system?
3. Who is responsible for it?
4. Where is the education system?
5. What is expected of it?
6. When should an education system start, and when should it end?
7. How should an education system be runned?

In Sociology dicitionary; "The system of formalized transmission of knowledge and values operating within a given society."

Frank views and opinions please.:)

1. In Sg, what comes to mind is the Instituitions of Learning.
2. Don't know.
3. Don't know. There shouldn't be one. That's too rigid.
3. Everybody. In Sg, it is The Ministry of Education.
4. Throughout society.
5. Impart knowledge, values, responsibilities, culture, skills, civic consciousness, compassion, etc.
6. To some people, in the womb, others, upon birth. Ends at the death bed.
7. Any which way that works.

Cheers!

If you don't know the answer to number two, how you manage to answer the rest of the questions:o
