To cut the story short ya.

Last night, we are supposed to come back to spore from malacca. The 1st driver (chinese Ah Leong) fetch us to malacca but he forgot about the return trip!! You believe that?

My friends called the manager (Ah HAI, Ah HUAT and AMAT) a small businsses that share among them. They managed to find one bus that can send us back to Spore.

The bus driver malay name (AIDIL) came and sent us back home. That horrid began.
To further cut it short again.

1. My friend asked the malay driver, we need to eat dinner as we waited for their manager for the bus that we did not eat dinner. That malay driver AIDIL told us : CAN, SGD$50 FEE.

2. My friend wanted to negoitate the fee but he dont want. Later the manager called my friend and my friend told him about it. The manager called and scolded him why must get money from customers?

3. AIDIL (malay driver, no happy(started to make nose, asked my friend why we complain, and throughout the journey, he grumbled and compliant. Very very not happy. We inside the bus felt very hostile and scared especially we have children and elders.

4. When reached Woodlands, several of my friends decided not to take his bus, but go back home taking bus as per trip that malay wanted to charge us SGD$10 per trip. The confirmed price is already SGD$250.

5. That left me and another family. We paid SGD$10 per trip. Sembawang and TIong Bahru. That malay driver AIDIL told me he dont know how to go. You believe that?

6. His car get a GPS and he told me he dont have GPS.

7. He threatened us to ask us get down and take a cab and demand SGD$250!

8. I told him, you move on, I see the sign board....he relented, switched on the GPS! He even asked me, AM I A SPOREAN.??? Very very yaya malay driver AIDIL.

9. Also that malay driver AIDIL asked back his namecard from my friend. Ha...why? He scare he complain?

I just wish to bring this matter to everybody here in this forum and hope you guys can pass the messages to your relatives and friends and colleagues that intent to go malaysia via thru booking from JB transport services.

That's what happen when 'rich' sinkees spoil market by feeding these trash. JB was a nice place to cheong during the late 80s until all the 'rich' sinkees started to arrive and say 'everything so cheap!'

you sure this adil is a malay? According to some ppl here malays are nice ppl and very humble and so on etc. He must be a tanned skinned chinese with a malay name.

Yup, it's quite expensive there nowadays unless you really know where to dig for those good lobangs. I went there last month with my wife for Korean BBQ and the set costs us rm90+.

All these are pirate taxi service.....if you never used them before you can only trust the word of mouth recommendations.
That said, these guys are in it for the long run so likely not to be ripped off...maybe just an isolated incident.
This Ah Hai should be the one who used to be based in Holiday Plaza.....used to run his own one man show but now banded together to start his own. He has been in this trade for very long and is 100% trustworthy.

It's very expensive. I think Seoul Garden is cheaper but I might be wrong. JB used to be a nice place to enjoy good food, shopping and cheonging. Now, it's more like a land extension of Sinkieland. Frankly, I enjoy a lot of the traditional food in JB. The Sinkee version of these great food has become PRCified. :(

These taxis known as 'Bar Ong Chia'.
Used to cheong 'Gim Geong', don't know what it's call in English. Use 'Bao Chia' service many times after cheonging and always no problem at both MY/SG immigration. Wonder how they do it. Only thing is they don't allow da bao in their car.

The name was Dallas niteclub but some years back changed to direct translated golden palace....you can party till 8am just in time for breakfast outside century....J &B (jazz n blues) disco was there also before it burned down....now the new J & B is at holiday plaza (Jb used to be my playground :D)

Ba Ong Chia provide doorstep to doorstep service which those legal taxis plying rochor to kotaraya can't.

hfourhappy lucky he didn't get bashed up. Malaysian bus drivers, wearing skull caps or not, even whack their passengers for simple complaints. Taking mini-vans another risk when involved in accidents where occupants get killed. Best is to take regular express bus.

Am sure you are also familiar with the porridge Ghor Zha Lang (古早人). This restaurant is where we used to have our supper after going Jit Poon Zheng (日本装)LSBs. After that, it's Ghim Geong.

Wonder if these places still around?

it's quite risky eating wild game since they might have viruses on them i suppose.

Think I know the place. My ex-colleague lives there. I used to eat fruit bats and I feel very energetic. Only problem is it is too heaty. :)
The other one I tried is a kind of squirrel.

Should be OK as long as it is well cooked and from a reputable stall.
