Starbuck no more Bucks ?

starbucks released results ytd ... missed estimates oni la ... n nt opening so many more outlets ... still black la ...

Just ordered a grande today, let them make some money :D

In a recession, people would rather patronize coffeshops but its nothing like relaxing with a cup of large coffee in a cozy environment especially after a hard day's work. In that aspect, Starbucks is still good.

Agreed not like the dirty kopi tiams.

All this crap about how good local is is seriously over rated only sinkees would appreciate it.

Like how someone mentioned here bringing your foreign classy fren to eat hawker food might be offensive to them since it's peasant food and it is.

Tah mee, char kuay tiow, carrot cake, orh lua etc are all peasant foods.

Starbuck kopi hoorible and expensive !!

Drink kopi at the stall behind Desker Rd better !!

I hate Starbucks, taste awful. Go to bangkok's Coffeeworld, their coffee taste so much better.

You got that right. Our hawker centres and kopitiams are very alien concepts to some westerners. Street food is unheard of in their home cuntries, and their bare minimum is some small eatery tucked in a shophouse.

Starbucks coffee usually costs S$5 to S$6 per cup. Here, DOME, Gloria Jeans and Coffee Club sells their coffee from A$3 to A$5 per cup, depending on size.

Drinking cafe coffee al carte in Australia is even cheaper than drinking angmoh coffee in Singapore, considering the exchange rate.

It's still better than thailand's or china's

Soon, with the help of STB, the world may see Kopitiam dollar as the new international coffee chain!
