Why Eugene Tan is wrong, & his comments clearly indicate just what is wrong with PAP

Re: Why Eugene Tan is wrong, & his comments clearly indicate just what is wrong with

I'm against any cuts. Ministers should be paid what they're worth and considering the excellent job the government has done in turning Singapore into a premium city of excellence, I honestly believe they're well worth every cent they're paid.

You can't expect to get talented, motivated people to run the country if you pay them pittance. Politics is not about sacrifice. It's about contributing skills and know-how to make the country better for everyone.

Couldn't agree more. They should be paid many millions more as the future is so uncertain and they have to suffer public criticism for every incidents that happen in Singapore. Poor ministers so underpaid yet suffer so much stress.

Totally agree, the Millions will keep their loyalty to the, 'RULING PARTY' for the good of Sinkies.

The PAP can't do anything without Singaporeans. What have they done? When they tried their hands in business and investments, they quickly lost billions of dollars in a few short years. So Singapore's success cannot be attributed to the PAP alone.

More than the level of the salary itself is the formula used to derive the salary that needs to be changed. Linking to top 6 highest salaries mean that salaries will always be among the highest. At the same time, it is also a safe salary because of the formula. In the private sector, those top salaries may not be earned by the same people every year if their own organisation does not performance. In fact, although it is tied to only the top six, statistically on a longer term, it is actually a higher salary.

I am contributing with my blood, sweat, & tears!. My boss cut my pay of even 5% that is a lot of money for a lesser mortals like me. We are talking about affordability for the limited talents we have, not paying the galaxies.

this is one of the worst piece of crap that has emerged from your keystrokes. the high salaries have made politics a job, rather than a calling. if you want a job, got to the private sector.

You may be contributing with blood, sweat and tears and putting in long hours but unfortunately, you don't have a high enough IQ to achieve the same level of contribution as the hand picked and highly trained PAP cabinet.

PAP ministers are pedigree stock and have the ability to perform a couple notches above the rest of us. They deserve every penny.

Kindly explain the removal of WKS, MBT and RL. If indeed pedigree stock, why don't they continue to serve the nation? David Lim and Cedric Foo also pedigree stock?

They have done their time and sacrificed a lot. They deserve a comfortable and stress free retirement. I wish them well and am extremely grateful for their contributions.

Look no further than Paul Volcker and Christine Lagarde.

I thot that remark was also stupid. For that reason, he shld not become NMP.

What caught my attention is AP Eugene Tan’s comments on what should NOT be done, that is, the cut should not be too deep. He gave two reasons. A too big cut will ‘disincentivise private sector talent to enter politics’. I think this is a very wrong reason for not doing the right cut.

Re: Why Eugene Tan is wrong, & his comments clearly indicate just what is wrong with

The mistake was to cut only when they lose a GRC. Should have done it earlier, or should not even do it. Now damn if do, damn if don't.

They have had 50 years to repent, but they blew them away by acting as deaf frogs, Zorro, dancing queens, and what else.
