You sound like Ramsett. Not quite correct regarding argument on CG. Although a tall guy has a higher CG, his legs are longer and he can take a wider stance which cancels the disadvantage. The real problem is that he has to hit down or his blows go over the opponent's head. For the opponent, everywhere he hits is target.

Five youths believed to be involved in the stabbing of a Raffles Institution student have been arrested by the police.

Police officers mounted simultaneous ambushes and operations to detain them after extensive ground enquiries were conducted to establish their identities.


Aged between 15 and 17, they allegedly attacked two 17-year-old secondary school students, Anand from Raffles Institution and Don Tan from St Andrew's Secondary School, after a staring incident at a McDonald's outlet in the Potong Pasir area on Dec 1.

The two victims are believed to have been assaulted by a group of youths at Blk 122 Potong Pasir Ave 3, according to a statement released by the police.

The New Paper reported today that the youths followed to the victims back to their block of flats and behaved in an aggressive manner after the staring incident.

One of the victims, Don, then called his father to confront the boys, who left.

However, the youths later followed them to a coffeeshop where they were having lunch and asked them to go to a nearby block to "settle this once and for all".

When they reached the Block 122, a group of youths was waiting for them with knives. The gang attacked them.

Don escaped with a bruised eye but Anand was stabbed in the back.

The assailants fled the scene later.

One of the victims was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for medical attention while the other victim was treated at the spot for facial injuries.

The five suspects will be charged in Court on Dec 3 for the offence of Rioting Armed with a Deadly Weapon.

It is punishable under Section 148 read with Section 149 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

They can be jailed up to 10 years and can also be caned.

The police said a Court Order will be sought for all the suspects to be remanded for further investigations.

Fighting is barbaric way of settling disputes. Boys should be educated from young not to fight around, to grow up as cultured adults.
