It will not be easy for them to take back Aljunied. Unlike trying to win back Hougang whereby they can just throw in a green horn to go and fight, they will have to put a Minister to lead the GRC team. Who will want to take on that lead? If they lose the election, they lose their million $$ pay cheque. The stake is very high....

Honestly the only 5 methods they have:

1) Better their government policies.

2) Appear more nice to dissent.

3) At the same time, keep the media biase.

4) Recruit more and better members as grassroots people.

5) Make more presence at grassroots.

All the above are not easy. Threatening with uneven treatment of wards, ISA, put the fear of an opposition government, lawsuits are not going to work at least against WP.
