The drag queen has just released his biography, Kumar: From Rags to Drags, to celebrate his 20th year in showbiz.

But what set tongues awagging is his close bond with the island republic's Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, Vivian Balakrishnan, who was quoted in his book.

The politician also turned up for his book launch.

When quizzed about their relationship, a defensive Kumar snapped back at the local press, saying: "Whether Vivian (Balakrishan) is my good friend, whether we sleep together or not, what has that got to do with the book?"

Wait a minute, isn't the stand-up comedian supposed to be gay and loving it?

the real reason for vivian appearing to endorse kumar's gay book was DAMAGE CONTROL and PR repentance to the recent sabotaging of botak vincent fr sdp during the GE. he insinuated vincent about his gay motive which backfired with lots of boos.

along came kumar with his dunno what table kopi book and his public confession of gay. the whole sgp already knows that so it wasn't anything new. but for vivian to appear, grace and endorse it, that was something very surprising.

by the way, did anyone notice that kumar hugged vivian? whether he kissed him on his cheek was partially hidden from the camera's angle.
