HONG KONG: Veteran Hong Kong actress Nancy Sit revealed Tuesday that she is dating someone 17 years her junior, reported Hong Kong media.
"It is very rare that we get along so well. Thanks everyone for your understanding, but he works in China so we don't get to meet every day," said Sit happily.
The 61-year-old actress admitted that she once felt disturbed by their relatively wide age gap, but has since come to terms with it.
She added that her 44-year-old boyfriend was not bothered by her age and treats her very well.
"Every day, he acts as though he cannot remember how old I am and treats me like a 16-year-old," said the mother of three, who further expressed that it felt like her first love all over again.
Sit started her showbiz career in as a teen idol in the 60s and went on to appear in a slew of Hong Kong drama serials like "A Kindred Spirit" in 1995 and "Return of the Cuckoo" in 2000.
Sit, the mentor of late Hong Kong superstar Anita Mui, also appeared in the popular Singapore drama serial "Love Concierge" in 2005.
