Is it the rainy season over there?

I know there's the vegeterian festival over there or 9 emperor gods festival and their tang kee over there makes sg's looks like child'
s play.

If you believe that, you should commit suicide and get promoted to god or ghost and enjoy people praying to you and sending stuff by burning them to you.

If U can delay, go in Dec\Jan, weather is cooling and nice. Last 2 times I went, mid-July/late Aug, rain like no tomorrow. I'm guessing Sept is similar

no rain will = high season will = higher expenditure

The rainy season was supposedly to be from July to Mid-October, someone I know went there recently in July and it was not raining. As far as I know, it starts to rain like mad in July, the weather there had changed somewhat after the Tsunami.

September is the rainy month, it tapers off mid October, towards the end of the Vegetarian Festival, or what we have here the 9 emperor gods festival, the believers wear white the whole month & go vegetarians.

Best to check on-line on the weather there these days... it doesn't flood in Orchard Rd, but once in 50 years, it did...

PS pls respect all religions. I believe you're a christian how would u like ppl to say your religion is stupid you die and actually go to some imaginary place in the sky when you do good?

Hear ppl going there rafting and all of those water sports and it's quite dangerous.

Only retards believe in Christianity or any religion, all religions inclusive. I'm not one of them. Are you?

Don't waste your breathe discussing religion with Forvendet. When you are that old it is difficult to see other people's point of view.

I see just that i wasn't really talking about the religious aspects of this festival. Just about the body piercings that they do and they make the local thaipusam look like babies doing it.

Recent years no, but I love the place, much have changed since the Tsunami. Someone I know, went there in July 2011. Water sports in Phuket are a plenty, one have to be cautious, & know the sports one is taking part in.

I hear they make you sign some form to probably excuse them from responsibility if you get into an accident. I think ppl need to be cautious especially if it's the 1st time they are going these water sports.

yes! as always, ask, find out, research, before trying, if you area ta Patong Beach, be careful about Ban Ga La Rd ( something like that), the strecth where all the bars & the 'pretty woMAN' are, especially the ones with naked pole dancers. It is like walking into a pirates den, after eight.

Like I had mentioned, the weather there changed!, someone I know went in July 2011, it was not even raining!!. I know Phuket in July, it is wet most of the days, with gusty winds, the coconut palms sway left to right. In Septemeber, it is still wet, only mid-october it tapers off, that was the usual Phuket weather.
