It has been three months since Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung were reported to be heading for a divorce. The couple has finally reached a consensus after their last meeting on Thursday.

Hong Kong media reported that the divorce papers of Nicholas and Cecilia have been submitted to the court.

"They have agreed to not make any statements to the public on this matter.

"And the person who leaks out any details of the divorce has to bear all the responsibility," the media reported.

Nicholas and Cecilia broke up after her 'in-flight' incident with Edison Chen in May. The actress was rumoured to have made numerous efforts to save the marriage but failed.

She and the husband met for the first time in July after news of their split was reported by the media. However, they did not talk much about the divorce.

Just as all eyes were on Cecilia and expecting her to do her final bid to save the marriage, Nicholas brought his lawyers to meet her on Aug 1 - a day before their elder son Lucas's fourth birthday.

Although the couple has reached an understanding on the divorce terms, Cecilia suddenly turned her back and refused to sign the papers.

On Thursday, the couple met again for a 16-hour discussion with Cecilia finally agreeing to the divorce.

It is learnt, they will make an announcement on the matter soon.
