Opposition involvement in PE

[Perspective]

Among opposition candidates, NSP ones are most involved in the Presidential campaign in their personal capacity. However, they are involved only in the 3 "non-PAP" camps. Even GRC team members are not in the same camp. Of course the claim of as long as not supporting Tony Tan, but still interesting. Some brought "enemy" parties like SDA and SPP on the same page. Conspicious is also the absence of any WP candidates.

Before TJS came into the picture, I would have done the same. But I'm voting for him because the best way to say bye to the PAP's schemes is to let them blow up right into the face of the PAP themselves, shards, shrapnels and all. As for TKL, without TJS he is too idiotic for me to regard the PE important enough to vote for him, then I would cast a spoil. The post isn't even an independent one - what does he want to be an independent Prez for? But if it was a GE with TKL as opposition candidate, then I would vote for TKL.

I think Png Eng Huat was the one who collected forms for TKL, not Eric Tan. It was reported all over media when he collected the forms. I just couldn't remember the name. I'm just an amateur political watcher, not a member not even an associate of any party. I support WP, that's all, and haven't even got a chance to vote for WP yet.

You have a great imagination. Using TCB to split TKL and TJS votes? The govt got crystal ball, knows from day 1 that TKL and TJS will come in to fight the EP? If they know, maybe the entire EP contest is scripted by the powers to be?

TJS was let loose to split the votes from TCB. TKL alone will not take enough votes to confirm a win to TT. Only by using TJS, the govt is more confident that the NOT endorsed candidate can win the election. Only the daft Singaporeans and daft Singaporean candidate would take in the govt's plan hook, line and sinker....
