Happened to read the Sunday Times today and was a little sad to read that Lorna Tan was leaving.

She has written good articles on personal finance over the years. Some may find them rather basic, but she is writing for the masses after all.
Her articles have always been innundated with good advice, written honestly and clearly, with little anecdotes about what she does personally without ever boasting.
She even left her readers with 7 personal tips on investing in her last article.

Now for the other one which can be found in the lifestyle section.
The heading said that "being wed will keep you busy but it can never completely fill the lonely black hole in your heart".
Please don't tell me what was in the rest of the article.

I dont spend a cent on ST now, I was about to ask you was the "other one" Sumiko Tan"?
And instead I dig on the ST app and found that article...Ding-Dong ! I was right...

Just read her full article... one word says it all... jiat liat... I wonder what will her better-half think after reading.
The only sensible she had admitted was she is "self-centered".

Someone actually gave a good rationale why divorce is way easy, and that is because the married couple is not related by blood.
I can buy that reason readily, and it looks to be the best reason for any divorce, be it an easy or tough decision involving other loved ones.

So in short, it does not even look that marriage is a good idea at all. Only when both can commit into giving the other endlessly, otherwise forget about marriage. It costs way too much energies and monies.

If it was not correct, I would have read the whole article and then re-read it. :D

I skimmed and read through about 80% of that lamenting thrash.
Not touched her stuffs for years. Never believe in paying to read them.

Why is she writing a column on ST? She should try doing a book and see how bad or well it may get. :D

Do u believe she is actually the editor of the life section?

She has already done a book, based on the time when she was a crime reporter.

Ah I see, thanks.
I never keep trace about her since she isnt my favorite author nor personality to track after.
Any idea how are are those books of hers doing?
