Why boeing don want to set up plant in Singapore ?

Why boeing despite with so much strikes by their own workers , refuse to shift their production plant in Singapore ? Through a report , BOeing is losing US$100 million per day due to strikes by the workers.

Singapore is bless with good infrastructure, bless with very open and liberal foriegn workers policy and a very very compliant union. Why isnt factory like boeing setting up shop here ?


Is our all this advantages is just a myth ?

dont think Spore had the land area to hold a Boeing plant. Maybe engine plant possible, if i not mistaken, Rolls Royce had a such plant at Seletar.

Can ....... singapore has the land ...... Singapore has TUAS ....... i think it bigger ! If not enough, we can reclaim all the singapore small island and join force become a big island. There u go !

Or what we can do is to rent the land from JOHORE and set up plant there ........ any one wants to chip in and dream big ?

Boeing should set up to recondition SPG's equipment for the FT social entertainment industry. Soon we will all be in that industry. Or are we already in?

Maxtor packed & left nearly 10years ago, for our neighbour across the causeway, and they're doing fine today.

Would be suicidal for Beoing or Airbus to park their production plants here.

That why it good that they can bring in the whole assembly line to Singapore ! Singapore is so good ...... got tax break , very docile union , good infrastructure !
