A cleaning company and a resident had a big fight yesterday, resulting in 12 policemen arriving to control the situation.
Mdm Bai (48, housewife) told reporters yesterday that she had found that the cleaner at her block (Blk 520, Bedok North Rd) did not clean the corridors outside her house at about 6.45pm on 19 July.
She had confronted the cleaner, who told her he didn't feel like doing it in a nonchalant and cocky manner.
Her son, Mr Wu (27, goods mover) went to lodge a complaint about the cleaner at 10am the next day at Marine Parade Town Council.
The supervior of the cleaning company and a member of the town council staff paid her a visit at her home the next day. Instead of resolving the situation, they got into a fight that lasted more than an hour.
Mr Wu says, "The cleaning supervisor refuse to admit that they failed to clean the corridor. He was unreasonable, and even hurled vulgarities at my mother! I told him to leave and he refused! The town council staff did nothing and just stood quietly at the side."
In the end, 12 policemen arrived to take control of the situation.
The residents also maintain that the cleaners often laze on the job and have made six complaints in the last two years.

Should we be surprised it happened in Marine Parade GRC? People have been complaining about the cockiness of those MPs for years and it triggered down even to the cleaner there - usually foreign talented with fist and attitude.

It is common nowadays to hear of PRCs being demanding and lording it over local Chinese, malays and now foreign Indian cleaners. These PRcs can't wait to behave like kings here and cannot control the urge to make other people bend to their demands, something they cannot get to do in their own hometown.

We locals do not treat or abuse the lowly Indian cleaners or the poorer malays on the slightest provocation. These inferiority complexed PRCs should learn to be more tactful, persuasive without resorting to master-slave complexes. Spending milllions to integrate them and still cant get it right.

'Can"t wait to behave like Kings (and I might add, as Queens....)' well, that is the essence of CCP character, not just here, but in USA, UK, Australia, etc., etc., wherever these Human Wave turn up in the World, they believe they Own the World.
