PM Lee assures public transport commuters

What do you expect when time and time again they are elected into government and paid millions to do so. Money if obviously a big motivation to keep the system running.

What we are seeing in Spore is an example of why peasants rebelled against their emperors & kings

Mate, just look north a little. The Malaysian/Thais are doing that all the time now. I don't even hear a pip of that going on in Singapore.

Mr Lee however noted that the Public Transport Council (PTC) is currently doing its work and urged Singaporeans to relax.

How to relax Pinky?..... How to relax when we know that the Govt will keep on sucking the blood of its people..

This is what the doctors or nurses used to tell people before they poke in the needle.

Increase in population = more commuters, increasing fare is not justifiable......

Simple one-liner but so true. When buses and trains are packed beyond capacity, it means excess profits for the operators. They should use these excess profits for more frequent service lines, not increase fares for more service lines.

Yes, I am very reassured by someone who probably can't remember the last time he took public transport.

Or the first time.

Where's LSS's Cheaper, Better, Faster? Singaporeans are so screwed by PAP!:oIo::oIo::oIo:

The Sporean fuse is slower burning. When it finally goes off, it may be more violent & scarier than what is happening in Malaysia:eek:

The main reason is the increase in the population, caused by the immigration policy. New citizens, new PRs and more FTs is overloading the transport system. Then everyone who uses the public transport has to pay higher fares in order they can provide quality service. Before when we had a population of about 4 million, things were not so bad, we were not so squeezed and fares more affordable.

These bastards start increasing the population and we kenna screwed. WTF. Furthermore, everything else also rise in tandem, and we again are screwed even harder. Even our children are affected as there are less places in Primary schools of our choice and we also need to send our kids overseas to study because the local U has no place for them.
