Netizens are amused by a giant billboard of controversial PAP MP Tin Pei Ling welcoming them to ‘MacPherson SMC’ put up recently in the ward:
Strictly speaking, Ms Tin is a MP of Marine Parade GRC of which MacPherson is a ‘division’. ‘MacPherson SMC’ does not exist on the electoral map.
Victor Ong asked:
“Ay? i thought Macpherson belongs to a GRC? How come got one-woman show onez?”

“What the…? “Building a … Green home” by wasting money and using precious environmental resources on more useless displays?? What is wrong with you??? THe stars may be currently aligned for you incumbents, but for the rest of us who have kids, we want them to have a future still, not one where they have to pick up the pieces of eco-unfriendly ppl!!”
Gavin Ng retorted sarcastically:
“Why not have some more words in the caption mentioning I don’t know what to say and I have flouted the election rules?”
Nearly two months have passed and there are still no updates from the police on Tin Pei Ling’s POLICE CASE. Ms Tin is currently under police investigation for flouting election laws by allegedly posting snide comments about her opponent on her Facebook on ‘Cooling-off’ day.
From the amount of taxpayers’ monies used so far to promote Ms Tin, it appears that she is pretty confident that nothing will happen to her and she can continue to collect her $15,000 monthly MP allowance for the next 5 years.
