Why is sammyboy.com down so often? Sam no money to pay for better web hosting despite boasting of his wealth so often?

The site isn't hosted in NZ it's hosted in the US.
The database needs to be backed up twice daily and the "database error" messages will appear during this time. Backups are usually completed within 10 minutes and everything goes back to normal. However, if database errors are detected, a database repair routine needs to be run and this adds another 20 minutes or so to the routine.
This issue can be resolved by the addition by the addition of hardware resources. I've been putting it off for as long as possible as it will double the monthly hosting costs.

I would donate as well. Just to see things run smoothly here. Wikipedia holds donation yearly, and I'm sure this forum provide some sort of service.
If PAP could ever donate that much, it would work towards promoting freedom of speech in Singapore. You think that is possible for them to do that? Could be a PR coup for them.
