This is all over the news in Australia. Labour party senator Penny Wong is the federal finance minister. Her father is a Hakka from Kota kinabalu (maybe another descendant of Lan fang republic).

During the parliamentary hearing on Wednesday, a Liberal party goon interrupted her by "meowing", an obvious reference to catfights.
