HK is also low in their own rate of birth, and their most logical sources other than local reproduction is certainly the mainland. This is more so that there are many many PRC wives married to HK men. Yet they have very clear policy to PREVENT PRC women from giving birth in HK, especially to take up space in the local hospitals. They want to keep their capacities for HK local expecting mothers! They never dream to be the Medical Hub (HUM [think Mee Siam]) nor tried to get PRC medical tourism market.

So unlike PAp! Singaporeans can compare!

As a part of PRC and being so dependent on PRC these days, HK will still have clear protection policies to curb PRC FTs & even babies. famiLEE LEEgime just blindly suck on all FT desperately.

No fucking BACKBONE! Always a helpless beggar in their white pants and shirts!

More importantly they have CORRECT PRIORITY regarding their own people's interest.

Oh, must be a new law in place. My sis-in-law gave birth in HK. The kid is going to have a HK passport from the looks of things. A lot of rich PRCs seems to want to give birth in HK for some reason. Just like a lot of Malaysians did the same back in the 90s.

Oh, must be a new law in place. My sis-in-law gave birth in HK. The kid is going to have a HK passport from the looks of things. A lot of rich PRCs seems to want to give birth in HK for some reason. Just like a lot of Malaysians did the same back in the 90s.

According to this news and my own assessment, HK isn't too rigid in this matter, because as usual, the PRC can find their favourite loopholes (上有政策=下有对策), just as ALWAYS!

The thing that showed up in their govt policies / measures, when compared against famiLEE LEEgime here, is clear that the HK govt have given PROPER PRIORITY and PROTECTION for their own people. LEEgime is nothing but a traitor of our people.

It is peasant mentality at works (mostly) for PRCs who wanted children to be born abroad or in HK, their silly pride of some kind, for their kids to feel more valuable or high class than others. In practical purposes, kids born in PRC have better promised future than HK born kids - and even SGP kids. This silly peasant mentality will reverse in a matter of time.

議員籲港人內地妻優先 周一嶽﹕難辨配偶關係

【明報專訊】立法會 衛生事務委員會昨通過無約束力動議，促請公立醫院除優先照顧本港孕婦，其餘產科名額要留給丈夫為香港永久居民的內地孕婦，這類別出生的嬰兒去年有6169名。食物及衛生局長周一嶽 認為，要前線人員識別內地孕婦與配偶關係，有一定困難，需要尋求法律意見。
據本報了解，政府擔心目前仍有一宗訴訟，關於有內地孕婦的港人丈夫要求醫管局 豁免繳交3.9萬元非合資格人士在公立醫院分娩的費用。政府擔心若向丈夫為港人的內地孕婦大開方便之門，對政府這場官司會有負面影響。
關注組：入境處 可協助核實
香港產科服務關注組成員張德康承認，若要醫護在門診把關，識別內地孕婦與配偶關係是有困難，但政府可以透過入境處協助核實孕婦與配偶的關係，也可要求內地孕婦在港找公證人律師核實配偶關係。
張德康說，現時內地孕婦在入醫院分娩時，也需要在產前病房提供胎兒父母資料，以便嬰兒出生後在港申請出世紙。若孕婦的配偶是港人，便提供港人的身分證作證明，若孕婦的配偶是內地人，便提供雙程證作證明。
周一嶽表示，會先考慮為嬰兒提供一條龍及高質素服務，成本和收費問題稍後才考慮；本月會再安排公立醫院和私家醫院代表開會，進一步商討產科服務的安排，期望下月訂出全港每家醫院產科來年的具體名額。
