Mr Gilbert Goh the author of, “How to survive unemployment: A survival guide for the jobless”, founders of the website transitioning.org and a freelance contributor of Temasek Review has applied to join the Reform Party.
The announcement was made by Reform Party’s Secretary General Mr Kenneth Jeyaretnam in a press release dated 10th February.
“Every member is unique and vital to our fight for democratic representation but we are particularly delighted that Mr. Gilbert Goh has today submitted his application for membership.”
Mr Jeyaretnam said he was delighted to have Mr Goh on board. “Gilbert perfectly fits the Reform Party model of leading by action and standing for change.” He added.
Mr Goh spent most of his free time writing and running transitioning.org, a site dedicated to helping those who are retrenched or unemployed and offering counseling.
His work has become increasingly important as immigration continues unchecked and a large number of Singaepore’s work force faces retrenchment at 40 or even before.
Married with a 17-year-old daughter, Mr Goh realized he could no longer ignore the call to stand up and to make his own transition from writing to active Party membership.
