Love Story: Separated for 10 years, childhood sweethearts rekindle spark

Jessica Leow parted ways with her childhood sweetheart after going to different secondary schools. Jessica realised she had a crush on him but was too shy to confess. When they met again at a party 10 years later, sparks flew.

Jessica recounted her love story with 'lalabong':

"This story is about my primary school childhood lover.

"Back in the primary school days, he used to be the ‘big brother’ who take good care of me, always making sure that I have food to eat and playing childish primary school kids’ game. At that point of time, he was my school-mate, my big brother and I had a good feeling about him, but was too young to even know what it was.

"Soon, we separated and went to different secondary schools. He lost contact with me but I didn’t. In fact, I become a female stalker, I viewed him on Friendster on a weekly basis, I had a crush on him but was too shy to confess. As time passed, he started to have girlfriends and I was jealous. Being a shy girl, I never contacted him and confess.

"After 10 yrs, we finally met again at a friend’s birthday party. We chat and talked all night. There were sparks already. We hang out more often and realised that we clicked quite well. After many dates, he finally confessed to me. My childhood dream came true under the stars in Yishun.

"We marked the start of the relationship with the buying of couple iphones. The age and marks on our phones will show how much and how long we have been though.

"Although our relationship had its own fair share of quarrels and fights, we managed to solve them amicably. Each fight just made us closer. He never laid a finger on me and hugs me everytime we had a fight. He is the only man who will say ‘I love you’ after a fight. He is the only man that will never get tired of me, the only man that will kiss me every night while I am sleeping. He is the only one that never fails to wake me up for my exams and lessons every day. He is the first man who sewed a pencil case entirely from scratch for me. He gives me the impression that he will be a loving and caring husband in the future.

"In the many overseas trips that we have been to, we had so much adventure and fun together; memories which I will never ever forget in my entire life. Whenever I fell asleep on the bed while watching TV, he will placed me loving on the bed properly so that I don’t wake up with a stiff neck.

"I just want to say thank you baby for accepting me as who I am, loving me and taking care of my everyday needs just like the primary school days. Have faith in me and we will last forever.

"I love you lalabong."

These two have got to be the ugliest couple I have seen in a while.

Did her mother ask her to "marry some decent Ang Mor men"?
