normally some of the "linked" company already prepare to donate at the last minute if the amount collected is too little. So even for the whole show no one donate, at the last 5 minutes you will see corporate donation of millions from those "linked" corporate.

This is the worst media charity ever witnessed. I am not surprised even the woody prata man sitting there did not quite appeal to the audience and only less than half a million dollars donated within that 3 hours show. Singaporean are now smarter than I expected. I suspect the rich donors were told to step on stage to hand out their million dollars cheque since the show did not reach the ideal hit required.

Nobody compelled you to buy. You are buying hopes. At least you can be certain that these draws make millionaires out of someone - Singaporeans and FTs.

Singapore is democratic - regardless of race, language and religious - everyone queues up to buy hopes. That's what I like about the country - no hardups to doing things practicals.
