This is lame. How can the hotel mgmt allow the people in to assault their guests? Even if the hubby was looking for the wifey, this shouldnt happen. The wife and the man who was assaulted can sue the hotel for breach of contract, privacy, security etc.

Hotels are obliged to protect their guests' privacy, identity and safety. This hotel failed all miserably and shld be hauled to court.

Both you guys missed the important point. A hotel business is to rent out rooms in privacy to paying guests. It comes with the right to privacy, security etc. Not even yr wife can come to the front desk to ask for room numbers of guests. International 5 star hotels will never disclose the ids or room numbers of their guests. If you go to a cheap love nest hotel in a backlane or in China, you risk having yr guts spilled out. But that's because the hotel mgmt didnt protect yr rights, not because you have a right to invade guests' privacy. Only the police or the law offrs with a search warrant can force the hotel to open.
