Singpaore shopping is indeed UNSAFE & falsely impressed

I'm sure many Sporeans would want to keep many of their treasure old things.
I had a large comic book collection which I would have liked to have kept

Space in Spore is at a premium & we have to discard the 'old" things :(

SINgaporeans are so lazy these days, that many, with some money; will find someone to do the menial task for them.

The lawn mower was my special memory, I looked after it when the kebun was discarded, oiled it, paint it, sharpen it...anyway I have to grow older & we had to part...was sad, when told it was given away...I wanted to take it home & keep in my storeroom.

Comics...were told to stop reading them for....!! Had a chestful or Marvels & DC comics...plus the small size combat series..etc..Mr. Q's the orginal...year books etc...that was missing..during house moving, some daffy duck must have given them to the garang guni...

We have to discard many old things...that is what our government is clever at...

I had plentyy of Marvel comics. Many would be valuable$$$ if it wasn't for the climate turning them yellow :(

If you go to the library you'll see reprints of these same comics in black & white. Some are in color too.

Had plenty of Vampira comics. While visiting the comic shops recently I noticed that the latest Vampira comics had shrunk in size.

Good thing that the last leaf is falling, may give successive generations a chance to enjoy themselves instead of just collecting 10 year series

I'm not old enough to have the 1st Superman comic.

Was around when spiderman 1st appeared but it was way before I learned to read When I did learn to read I got most of my comics from the 2nd hand store at Marshal Rd at Katong.

It was only later that I had $$$ to buy comics from the local Indian store.

Paper doesn't store well in Spore's climate. Even if you have a 1st edition it's probably worthless by now.

Years ago I remember seeing an antique toy store at Shaw Center(Scotts Rd) It was interesting & different but didn't last long.

The only profitable things to collect are watches, pens & coins. Can of course collect other things but not as lucrative.
