Kelly Liaw wanted to be a Police Officer since she was a kid.

The 33-year-old, a Station Inspector, has been with the Singapore Police Force for 12 years now.

She was among the 365 Home Team officers who received National Day Awards from Minister for Home Affairs and Law K. Shanmugam at the Home Team Academy in Choa Chu Kang on Monday, Nov 29th.

Kelly was one of the recipients of the Efficiency Medal.

The event is held annually to commend outstanding Home Team Officers for their merit and service to the country.

This year's winners were from eight departments, including the Singapore Police Force, Singapore Prisons Service and the Immigration Checkpoints Authority.

The officers received medals of commendation, efficiency and the long service award.
